Whimsically eroded toadstool on Sgurr a’ Chlaidheimh, which we met while descending to the absurd ‘waterworks’ on the eastern side of Coire Shubh Beag. (These waterworks are part of the Loch Quoich reservoir project, and steal water from the Loch Hourn river.) Descending in late summer is a bit cumbersome: awkwardly long and wettish grass. Far away, over a bit of Loch Quoich, lie nebulous Gleouraich and Spidean Mialach.
