Shortcut through the unnamed lochan on the ledge halfway down the descent to the bealach. Those large stones are not accidentily available here: we call this “King Edward's ford”. It was part of the now neglected "Royal Road" network of paths built here on the occasion of Edward's visit to the then much larger Quoich estate.
