An open wound in the west side of Sgurr Sgiath Airigh. Here we find much of this bright red rock, which remains beautifully visible in the tiny but steep tributaries. When for a moment we sat in the bitter cold to have a bite, suddenly, right before our eyes, a golden eagle rose in the air, so close we could discern the tiny individual feathers near its head.
