Looking down on Loch Hourn from the open part of the gorge of Allt Bán. Today started quite wet, so we started past eleven; first over the road to the ford near Shùbh, then creeping upward between the twisted trees and roots. Thus we scramble to the real gorge, after which it's easy. In the distance Carn nan Caorach and then Druim Fada, and above them a nebulous Beinn Sgritheall.
