Alpine marsh violets on the wet mountain side. Where the snow has only just nelted away it’s full of them, in a tangle of barren molinia (tussock-forming moor-grass). A close look reveals that this place has already been grazed by deer or wild goats, but it seems they don’t like the marsh violets.
