Gleaming marsh marigolds in dark crevices. Higher up these are flowering in places where the snow has just melted; they're smaller than at home, but shockingly bright and gleaming. By now the clouds are rising more and more, and every now and then the sun breaks through. The snowcover is shrinking fast and disappears as gurgling water in holes and cracks.
