A stormy shower is advancing on Barrisdale, but this pine tree still catches plenty of sun. We're following the southeast side of the enclosure on the srón of Sgurr a' Choire Bheithe. Down below runs the Barrisdale River, from behind the tree rises the southwestern end of Beinn Buidhe. We're still walking in the sun, but fierce rain is already whipping Loch Hourn and Beinn Sgritheall. This pine is a true Caledonian Pine: the branches are vivid red.
