Late afternoon in Glen Barrisdale, looking backwards; by now we're nearing Barrisdale proper. These trees are growing somewhere near the big waterfall. Alders, birches and pines, very beautiful, but all rather aged. Young seedlings are invariably eaten away by the deer - way too many of them, to the opinion of today's Deer Commission.
