Six o'clock – cloudlevel zero and plenty midges, but we'll take our chances. It's drizzling a bit while we're preparing gear for a new hike. In light rain we set off for Coire a’ Chaorain, between Alltbeithe and a bealach northeast of Sgurr a' Mhaoraich. We take courage when it gets dry at Loch Quoich. Around nine the bikes are parked at the bridge and a quarter past we're at Alltbeithe.
