On Bealach Coire a' Chaorainn it's mainly this purple lichen that sticks out. All rubble on the bealach is richly covered with it. As around the lochs, the hills of the Highlands are full of lichens in bizarre colours. Everywhere people are brewing nice textile dyes from such lichens. We're getting much sun on the bealach now, but there's a nice breeze.
