Evening pitch along Allt Strath a' Chomair near Beinn Sgritheall. It isn't until the afternoon that we go by motorbike to Balvraid in Gleann Beag, and then walk from the MacBeth farm to continue via the suspension bridge. Around 8 pm we set the Björnfjell in an old meander bed of sand and fine gravel, full of thyme in bloom and many yellow flowers, such as bear's nostrils (our private nickname for all those hieracium or hawkweed species).
