Rock with a reddish brown colour cast on the west slope of Beinn Sgritheall. Along the burn that runs down the western slope from Beinn Sgritheall to lochan Bealach na h-Oidhche, we climb up Beinn Sgritheall's first ridge. It's rather steep at the bottom, and shows a completely different rock; this weathered stuff is clearly the source of Sgritheall's signature scree.
