Zooming in on the spot where we came down from Slat Bheinn with Seamus Doherty years ago in rainy weather (images from 194_0621_093000DLH). Try to spot the majestic pines on the steep slope. It's too steep there for deer to browse the seedlings away, so they can survive to grow up to be real Caledonians.
