On the delta plain of Inbhir Dhorrcail: sea pink or thrift, up close in frontal view. Ubiquitous along the west coast, from Spain to Norway, it may be found along salted roadsides and on steep hilltops. It's very tolerant of saline conditions, which may be found on hilltops that get their salt from wind and rain coming in from a splashing sea surface. Sgurr a' Mhaoraich may have taken its name from this flower.
