A ptarmigan in the morning sun on Sgurr Thionail. We climbed the steep slope of Thionail along the remnants of an old stalkers path. There is a fair amount of ptarmigan here, stayed behind after the last ice-age. When we reach the top we'll follow the bealach to the top of Sgurr a’ Mhaoraich.
