On the banks of Lochan Coire Chaolais Bhig, Mieke rearranges her clothes after giving some salamanders the fright of their lives, a bit higher up. We stop for a bit to fill our water bottles and doing so also disturb a fat and yellow-rimmed Dytiscus marginalis, or great diving beetle. A little while ago we had a bite on An Caisteal and now we’ll ascend Meall nan Eun.
