In the bed of the burn of the pass of the red cow. It gets narrower and so a bit darker, certainly today. But still, the colours of the rock remain clear and even bright. Simple logic: it’s quite steep and the constantly running water ensures that in many places the rock remains clear and fresh looking. And at one time there was something here about a red cow.
