Morning sun over bog asphodel in Glen Barrisdale. With our son we’re on our way to the Slochd Nighinn Bheathain and to Loch Coire nan Coire nan Cadha above that. It’s getting pretty hot and there’s no cloud to be seen. In 1991, our first year, we’d completely missed this bog asphodel, but then it doesn’t really explode until July. If all goes well we might also go up Sgurr a’ Choire-bheithe today…
