A welcome cooling at the wild mists around the waterfall between the Slochd and Coire nan Cadha. Braving the heat we zigzg upwards along Allt Slochd Nighinn Bheathain, passing this blinking riot of droplets. At the supreme top we eat something of our provisions, and then try to determine what’d be the best route to the summit of Sgurr a’ Choire-bheithe; luckily, the north face is in the shadows by now.
