Battered ground beetle ('green' tiger beetle) on the trail. This brigand is quite variable in color and spot pattern, but around here it's always pure turquoise. Until now they were too quick to photograph, but this one stopped moving: a corpse among the rubbish on the path from the bridge to Lochan.
