On the opposite side you can see snow disappearing before the sun. The showers are dusting the high peaks and ridges with snow. It's never been this cold during our stay - in our rain suits we climb along the ridges of Buidhe Bheinn to the origins of Allt Coire Lair. As soon as Sgurr a' Mhaoraich comes back into the sun, all that snow visibly melts away again.
