The North face of the Sgurr na Sgine with remnants of the snow cover, now in the rain. View from the summit, with the clouds closing up. Five years ago, in 1994, we were walking down there in bright sunshine over a gigantic snow-field (images 194_0613_122500XLH & 194_0613_123000XLH). At that time those pools were just appearing, filling up with melt water from the slush, and already they were crowded with tadpoles - of both the frog and the newt variety.
