Flower and unripe fruit of cloudberry. Still at Lochan na Stairn. This subarctic plant thrives here from 700 m up, as long as it is wet enough. A strange "bramble" (Dutch: Kruipbraam) the fruit of which is red when still unripe and yellow when fully ripe. Tolerates freezing temperatures up to (or rather down to) 40 degrees Celsius below zero!
